\nThe theme of the 2-day course is chosen to cover two of the most representative challenges underground space believers need to address these days. Risks in tunnelling and underground space constructions often lead to disputes and claims. Hence clear recognition of the uncertainties, fair responsibilities allocation and sound on-site recognition procedures could not be more timely. Sustainability, on the other hand, needs to be part of underground space development and be taken into consideration throughout the planning, design, construction, and operation stages.
