The School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, following a coordinated effort by the Laboratories of Geology and Hydrocarbon Exploitation & Applied Geophysics, recently received 10 academic licenses for the software suites MOVE and IPM from PE Limited (PETEX) as a donation. The total value of the licenses amounts to £4,579,520.43 per year. The MOVE software is the leading tool for tectonic analysis, while IPM is a very powerful suite for reservoir engineering studies. These two software packages will significantly contribute to the School’s educational and research work in the fields of “Geology”, “Hydrocarbon Geology” and “Hydrocarbon Reservoir Engineering”.
